The In-Harmony Chorus Group
The In-Harmony Chorus Group was established in 2010 by a group of singing enthusiasts in the Thousand Oaks and surrounding cities, with encouragement from the well-known baritone and music educator, Professor Jay Yang, who serves as the music director and conductor. The music accompanist is Christina Yen who is a very talented and experienced vocalist and pianist for chorus singing.
The group sings a wide variety of songs, ranging from Chinese classics and folk songs to Broadway musicals and classic operas.

人生中有各種各樣的樂趣, 有時輕輕啍幾句自已喜歡的曲子, 能放鬆精神, 調節情緒. 如能引吭高歌一曲, 更是心曠神怡. 只要自巳唱得開心, 好壞是次要的. 其實大多數人都有唱歌的天分, Karaoke的普及就挖掘了無數歌唱天才. 三五知己聚在一起唱唱 Karaoke 固然樂在其中, 但如許多人一起來個大合唱更是過癮. 每一組唱一個聲部, 和音混和在一起, 起伏頓挫, 發出美妙的聲音. 身為其中一份子, 另有一番感受. 但是組織合唱團, 門檻較高. 首先要有足夠的團員, 大家要熱情的投入. 然後需要有好的指揮, 鋼琴伴奏, 要有理想的練歌場所. 還有很多其他因素, 譬如團員中男女聲部及高低音的分佈必須有平衡.

2010年的夏天, 住在千橡附近的二十幾位朋友一起成立了一個新的合唱團, 取名「韻聲」,英文名為「In-Harmony Chorus」. 宗旨是以歌會友, 大家一起發出和諧的聲音, 發揚和諧的精神. 非常幸運請到了素負盛名的男中音歌唱家楊捷老師來做指揮. 楊老師帶領合唱團經驗豐富, 富有熱情, 對大家耐心指導, 目標是要把我們這一群很多連五線譜也不大會看的唱歌發燒友, 磨合成一個比較像樣的合唱團, 能有水準的上台表演多首中國和世界名曲. 現在我們更有幸請到聲樂/鋼琴專家林毓宣老師來作伴奏及輔導, 機會難得.經過大家的努力, 我們的合唱不斷有著進步, 團隊更壯大.
合唱團練習地點是在康谷華恊文化中心. 1489 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. Unit 3, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362. 交通非常方便. 練習時間是每隔一星期的週六, 從3:30pm 到5:30pm, 盡量避免影響大家週末其他的活動時間. 希望能有更多的合唱愛好者來加入我們. 如果沒有合唱經驗, 沒有關係, 只要有興趣就可以了. 現有團員中大多數都是以前沒有經驗的, 憑的就是大家對合唱共同的愛好 在練歌過程中互相幫助切磋 一起進步 發揚「以歌會友」的精神, 自娛娛人. 如有興趣一試的話 請接洽我們中任何一人.
